Halloween

I am going to start with my Most recent cupcake and candy creations and work my way back. These cupcakes I made for a Halloween party my children and I attended. I went a little overboard and ended up with two hundred cupcakes! I also dipped close to 50 strawberries as well as 30 pretzels. They all turned out great and was well received.
The mini cupcakes were vanilla, half were tinted orange with vanilla buttercream and candy corn. The 2nd half were dipped in melted green frosting with vanilla buttercream, orange sprinkles and candy corn.
Here we have Chocolate dipped Strawberries half were ghosts and the other were Zombies
These ghosts/zombies found a home on top of a Hershey's black out cupcake, topped with milk chocolate buttercream dipped in crushed oreos.
One of my favorite cupcakes visually were these popcorn cupcakes. They started out with a vanilla cupcake, vanilla frosting and marshmallow popcorn
My absolute favorite cupcake experiment yet to date were these beauties. I started with a basic spice cake recipe, once finished while hot I scooped the center out and put a homemade apple hash in. The hash consisted of finely diced Granny Smith apples fried with butter, brown sugar, caramel and cinnamon. I topped them with a caramel buttercream and homemade caramel sauce.
I made these cupcakes for the look on my children's face! They are a blue velvet cupcake with green tinted butter cream piped in a brain shape. I created the blood by mixing caramel sauce with a bit of red food dye. The mini knives were made of sugar.
Tried but truly tasty Red velvet with cream cheese frosting.
All the cupcakes waiting to make the trip to the party!!
I threw these together at the last minute. Here we have a raspberry flavored cupcake with a Cheesecake center topped with a fresh raspberry buttercream and berry.
Last but not least these guys stole my heart! I had started out thinking I would make Frankenstein dipped pretzels but ended up making these adorable aliens. There were 30 of them and no two looked alike!
